370Z on Phantom Edition Volk GT-S
We enjoy simple and tasteful looking cars, and this can be seen in our Nissan 370Z used for some in-house testing. Featured are Volk GT-S wheels in the Flat Black Phantom Edition color scheme. Unfortunately, this color has since been discontinued, but the flat black on Nissan’s Pearl White gives an excellent contrast that really draws attention.

Injected Performance Dyno Shootout at ZdayZ 2009
Injected Performance is proud to announce the official ZdayZ 2009 Dyno Shootout!
We will be bringing our Dyno Dynamics to Fontana Village for the weekend of ZdayZ, May 28-31st, 2009. We all know that there are infinitely many variables that determine your exact dyno results. Whether it be altitude, temperature, the brand of dyno, or just the time of the year - everyone is always trying to compare results from varying conditions. We wanted to provide yet another attraction to the ZdayZ festivities this year:
FREE DYNO PULLS!
On both Friday and Saturday of ZdayZ weekend, we will offer free dyno runs for registered attendees of ZdayZ 2009. Participants will have the opportunity to compete for trophies for the highest horsepower - both forced induction and naturally aspirated. Many other “honorable mention” trophies will be announced later
How can you receive a free dyno session at ZdayZ this year?
Simply send us an email (through this blog) with your name, contact info (email and cell phone, preferably), the year and model of your car, and a detailed list of applicable engine modifications currently done. A few pictures, if available, would be helpful as well for us to recognize you at Fontana Village. As we receive requests, we will try our best to accommodate everyone. A time slot will be provided to you as we come closer to finalizing the schedule.
LOCATION: The dyno will be available in front of the General Store at Fontana Village on select times on Friday and Saturday. Those who have signed up for a dyno session in advance will have an assigned time slot. If extra time is available, walk up sessions may be provided.
TIMES: There will be four sessions of dyno pulls. We will schedule as many as we can to a particular time slot so that you know when you should be readily available in the area for your dyno runs. Friday and Saturday will have two sessions each:
Friday, May 29th:
11:00am to 1:30pm (EST)
2:00pm to 5:00pm
Saturday, May 30th:
10:00am to 12:00pm
12:30pm to 3:00pm - High Horsepower Shootout
COST: All participants are eligible for a free dyno session consisting of 2-3 runs. A printout of your results will be provided at no extra charge. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we can only accommodate a certain amount of dyno sessions.
OTHER INFO:
- Nissan Z and G cars (2WD only) have first priority.
- Trophies for highest horsepower (naturally aspirated and forced induction)
- Other honorable mention trophies
- Trophies will be awarded after Saturday’s session
- You will sign a waiver at ZdayZ acknowledging that your car is in optimal running condition to be used on the dyno. In an effort to offer as many free dyno sessions as possible, no tuning will be done.
- Please email us to request a spot and include the information described above. I cannot guarantee that we will accommodate everyone into one of the dyno sessions, although we will try our best.
Additional Advan RS-D Details Released
Filed under: Nissan 370Z, Nissan GTR, Pictures, Product News

XXX Racing Fuel Gains 14whp on Stock 370Z
We had a chance to test XXX Racing Fuel’s new 138 oxygenated blend in our Nissan 370Z. After making a few pulls to get a consistent baseline on our 370Z (260whp), we added 5 gallons of oxygenated XXX race gas. The result was 274whp, an impressive 14whp gain.

Stock Nissan 370Z Dynos 258whp
Our new 2009 Nissan 370Z was strapped down to our “heart breaker” Dyno Dynamics dynamometer for the first of many dyno sessions. The heart of the 370Z, a 3.7L VQ37 HR engine, drew a beautiful dyno curve and produced 258whp.
For reference, here are some comparison figures from stock Zs on our dyno:
2003 Non-Revup 350Z: 215whp
2006 Revup 350Z: 234whp
2009 VQ37VHR 370Z: 258whp
The rich AFR looks promising for gains with an Injected Performance reflash or Haltech Platinum 350Z EMS - both of which will be tested in the near future. Please see the dyno chart and video below.

Injected Performance’s Nissan 370Z Arrives
After what seemed like a long wait, our very own Nissan 370Z (base with sport package) has finally arrived in the brilliant Pearl White. What better way to break it in than a long road trip home through snowy weather, followed by several dyno runs to see what she makes. Stay tuned for the coverage of the dyno results. Regardless of what numbers it puts up, we are very pleased so far with Nissan’s next iteration of the Z car.
VR38 and VQ35HR side by side comparison
While building two Nissan engines for our customers we took advantage of the great opportunity to make side-by-side comparisons of these two modern day Nissan super-motors. The R35 Nissan GTR’s VR38 shares a lot in common with the Nissan 350Z/370Z’s VQ35 HR engine as seen below. The most notable difference is the closed deck on the GTR’s VR38. Check out the pictures and feel free to comment.
Stay tuned for new VR38 products and engine packages coming soon!
