Vorsteiner Releases Ventross Aero for R35 GTR
Vorsteiner’s own brand of Ventross has released the latest aero package for the Nissan R35 GTR. Drawing from various sources of inspiration to create something unique, yet tasteful, the Ventross front bumper and rear diffuser were carefully designed to match the rest of the GTR’s styling. Our very own Injected Performance GTR was used in the process of creating the mold and finished product. Here is a clip from Vorsteiner’s own press release:
“Ventross has created a new replacement front fascia that incorporates enlarged carbon fiber air intakes for the radiators and includes additional side louver openings that feed air to the brakes through the front fender lining slats. The fascia is completed with an aggressive front spoiler that attaches to the factory under tray optimal fitment strength. The entire front fascia is constructed from dry carbon fiber using Vorsteiner’s proprietary dry carbon fiber vacuum technology which maximizes strength while significantly reducing overall weight.”
“The GTR rear diffuser has been redesigned to replace the factory plastic version with a more aggressive dry carbon fiber piece that houses 3 integrated diffuser fins with central heat extraction vents to aid in cooling the exhaust system. Like the Ventross GTR front fascia, the rear diffuser is constructed using Vorsteiner’s proprietary dry carbon fiber vacuum technology. Vorsteiner’s Carbon Fiber Honeycomb Matrix (CFHM) structure gives our parts superior stiffness, strength & durability compared to traditional hand laid carbon fiber and fiberglass materials.”
These Ventross pieces are made to order. Please contact us for ordering details.
Sneak Peak at R35 GTR Carrillo Rods and CP Pistons
Injected Performance has been working closely with several manufacturers in order to bring power-hungry GTR owners the right tools they need to reach their high-horsepower goals. Carrillo rods and CP Pistons have been extensively used in our 350Z drag car to reach power levels once unheard of for the VQ35 platform. CP and Carrillo, now a joint operation, once again have carefully done their research to provide a rod and piston package for the VR38 owner craving significantly stronger internals for more power. Please contact us directly for more information on this promising package.

Verified R35 GTR Wheel Fitments
With all of the uncertainty we have recently seen with wheel fitments on the new Nissan R35 GTR, we have decided to start a list of confirmed fitment options for a few different wheels. We have also noted our subjective opinion for how aggressive the fitment actually is. As a reminder, we recommend speaking with an authorized dealer of the wheel you’re considering before making a final purchase. Many variables should be considered with regards to optimal width and offset. These wheel fitments have been verified at one time or another on a stock ride height GTR.

Nissan GTR Wheel and Tire Packages
Last week we had the pleasure of helping a local GTR customer mount his newly purchased Volk RE30’s with Toyo R888’s in anticipation for the upcoming February 23rd track day at VIR. We decided on a 19″ wheel setup, a compromise in size to save weight and gain additional tire choices, as well as a non-staggered tire setup on staggered wheels to lessen the understeer. As an authorized Volk and Advan distributor, we are more than happy to put together a wheel and tire package featuring Toyo tires or any other brand you may be looking for. Whether it is a lightweight set of Volks for track days or a show-stopping set of HREs to impress, we are proud to offer a wide array of aftermarket wheel options for the GTR.
Not only were we able to piece together an impressive looking stance for this Super Silver GTR, the wheels and tires are going to give our customer the additional benefit of reduced unsprung weight and an effective higher final drive ratio, for quicker acceleration. Here are the final specs:
Front:
Volk RE30 19×10 +30
Toyo R888 295/30-19
(49.2 lbs, savings of 13.4 lbs from stock)
Rear:
Volk RE30 19×11 +25
Toyo R888 295/30-19
(50.4 lbs, savings of 16.4 lbs from stock)
Project Mu B-Force Brake Pads for GTR
As an authorized Project Mu distributor, we are proud to announce the arrival of the Project Mu B-Force replacement brake pads for the OEM Brembo calipers on the Nissan R35 GTR. The B-Force pads aim to be an affordable alternative to stock brake pads while still giving a slight upgrade to braking power for the street or light track use. With an estimated retail price of right around $500, these should be one of the cheaper pad options for those needing replacements already.
AP Racing Rotor Discs for GTR
AP Racing has officially released their rotor disc upgrade and replacement kit for the Nissan R35 GTR. Injected Performance is proud to have some of the first sets in stock and available for purchase for those upcoming early track dates.
The GTR comes with factory drilled brake discs, which are considered to be a higher risk for cracking compared to slotted variations. AP Racing decided to use 12 curved slots instead, to greatly reduce the chance for cracking and improve pad bite. While the stock GTR rotor discs do have vanes, AP Racing takes them one step further by designing curved vanes to manage high temperatures much better. In addition to these various improvements, they have managed to bring the cost beneath OEM replacements. Although replacement rotor hats are not included, each set will include a brand new set of hardware to re-use the OEM rotor hats.
Both front and rear rotor sets are now available for sale at our GTRMod.com store, priced at just $1,169.75 per pair.
VR38 and VQ35HR side by side comparison
While building two Nissan engines for our customers we took advantage of the great opportunity to make side-by-side comparisons of these two modern day Nissan super-motors. The R35 Nissan GTR’s VR38 shares a lot in common with the Nissan 350Z/370Z’s VQ35 HR engine as seen below. The most notable difference is the closed deck on the GTR’s VR38. Check out the pictures and feel free to comment.
Stay tuned for new VR38 products and engine packages coming soon!
GTR Playing in the Snow at Nurburgring
Here’s an interesting video that’s circulating the forums. Autohaus Brommler, which appears to be a Nissan dealership in Germany, decided to showcase the capabilities of the GTR AWD system on a snowy track. While it’s obviously not any attempt at a sub-7:29 lap, it still looks like they’re having a ton of fun and making pretty good pace, given the conditions.
