After months of patient anticipation, Greddy has finally released the 20G Tuner Twin Turbo Kit for the Nissan 370Z! This particular kit utilizes the same pair of TD06SH-20G turbos that have been a great success in the various 350Z engines and the Nissan GTR. At just 6.5 psi, this kit will produce over 400 whp on our Dyno Dynamics. Greddy’s true-dual Ti-C exhaust for the 370Z will help the kit flow even better.

The Greddy kit contains proven components for 400 whp and beyond. These twin 20G turbos, combined with heavy duty cast manifolds, external wastegates, and an extra large front mount intercooler have the capacity to support over 800 whp. This power level requires upgraded engine internals, similar to our various staged packages for the VQ35.

As a full service installation facility, we are able to not only offer these turbo kits for sale, but provide all of the necessary installation labor and dyno tuning as well. We would like to reach out to our local 370Z customers who may be interested in this type of power package. For a limited time, special deals will be available to the first customers interested in purchasing this Greddy twin turbo kit for their car. Please contact us directly for details.

We enjoy simple and tasteful looking cars, and this can be seen in our Nissan 370Z used for some in-house testing. Featured are Volk GT-S wheels in the Flat Black Phantom Edition color scheme. Unfortunately, this color has since been discontinued, but the flat black on Nissan’s Pearl White gives an excellent contrast that really draws attention.

We had a chance to test XXX Racing Fuel’s new 138 oxygenated blend in our Nissan 370Z. After making a few pulls to get a consistent baseline on our 370Z (260whp), we added 5 gallons of oxygenated XXX race gas. The result was 274whp, an impressive 14whp gain.

Stock Nissan 370Z Dynos 258whp

Our new 2009 Nissan 370Z was strapped down to our “heart breaker” Dyno Dynamics dynamometer for the first of many dyno sessions. The heart of the 370Z, a 3.7L VQ37 HR engine, drew a beautiful dyno curve and produced 258whp.

For reference, here are some comparison figures from stock Zs on our dyno:
2003 Non-Revup 350Z: 215whp
2006 Revup 350Z: 234whp
2009 VQ37VHR 370Z: 258whp

The rich AFR looks promising for gains with an Injected Performance reflash or Haltech Platinum 350Z EMS - both of which will be tested in the near future. Please see the dyno chart and video below.

After what seemed like a long wait, our very own Nissan 370Z (base with sport package) has finally arrived in the brilliant Pearl White. What better way to break it in than a long road trip home through snowy weather, followed by several dyno runs to see what she makes. Stay tuned for the coverage of the dyno results. Regardless of what numbers it puts up, we are very pleased so far with Nissan’s next iteration of the Z car.

VR38 and VQ35HR side by side comparison

While building two Nissan engines for our customers we took advantage of the great opportunity to make side-by-side comparisons of these two modern day Nissan super-motors. The R35 Nissan GTR’s VR38 shares a lot in common with the Nissan 350Z/370Z’s VQ35 HR engine as seen below. The most notable difference is the closed deck on the GTR’s VR38. Check out the pictures and feel free to comment.

Stay tuned for new VR38 products and engine packages coming soon!

Nismo S-tune 370Z on Display at 2009 TAS

No word on any performance upgrades as of yet, but the S-tune appears to consist of a front lip, side skirts, rear valence, spoiler, and the usual Nismo 5-spoke wheels. Personally, I feel that the Nismo upgrades done to this 370Z look better than what was done to the 350Z, but I’m reading across the forums that most people feel the opposite way. We may never receive these body parts in the US anyways, so it may be a moot point. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that Nismo will offer their full line of 370Z products to the US.
