Recap for Zdayz 2010!
Another Zdayz has passed and schedules have resumed back to normal at Injected Performance. After an ambitious showing last year, our goal for this year was to interact with as much of the community as possible, with informal events and a humble presence. It would not have been complete without a ridiculous display of raw horsepower, and Hal successfully fulfilled that requirement by winning this year’s “Top Dawg” award for the fastest forced induction car on the rented airstrip nearby.
Much of the weekend was spent around our cornhole game setup and showing off some products under our sales tents. Complimenting the hospitality was a grill, some free food and drinks, and much needed shade and shelter for the warm and rainy conditions. We decided to post up bright and early where the car show was setting up, which placed us at the center of attention for much of Saturday’s activity.
Although cornhole is not as popular across the east coast as we had originally anticipated, enough skilled players showed up for us to award some board sets to a few talented teams. These boards have now made their way back to Z-enthusiasts from North Carolina and Alabama, where we hope they provide much backyard enjoyment this summer.
All in all, Zdayz is a great weekend to relax, enjoy some of the best roads in the country, and meet all of the fellow enthusiasts that you often post on forums with on a daily basis. Zdayz 2010 Cornhole Tournament!
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting the first Zdayz Cornhole Tournament! This lawn game is a popular staple of tailgating, cookouts, and general relaxation on a beautiful spring afternoon. Equipped with eight Zdayz-themed cornhole boards, some food, drinks, and good spirits, we promise an enjoyable time to be had by all.
On Friday, May 21st, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm on the baseball field of Fontana Village (weather permitting), you will be able to kick back with the staff of Injected Performance, enjoy a beverage or few (BYOB - soft drinks will be provided), and unleash your inner competitive spirit. Sign-ups will be available throughout the afternoon for a tournament to determine the Zdayz champions.
The official tournament will begin at 4:00pm and will follow a bracket or round-robin style, depending on turnout. The winning team will be able to take home their choice of board sets, which are hand-crafted and meet all regulation sizing. There is no entry fee for this tournament, and you may have all of the practice you can handle in the afternoon leading up to the tournament. Just bring yourself, a partner, and your best beanbag tossing skills!
Enkei Wheels Carried by Injected!
We are proud to announce that Injected Performance is officially an Enkei wheels dealer! Especially true for their racing series of wheels, Enkei offers superb quality at an affordable price. Our bias lies within the racing series, most famous for the RPF1, NT03+M, and newly released, the PF01. A Quick Tour of the New Shop
Did you know that we’ve recently expanded? Over the winter, significant time and effort was invested in order to grow our shop facility. This additional work area can accommodate for up to five cars being worked on at a time, as well as safe, secure overnight storage for seven cars each night.
Paired with a staggering array of tools, this additional work space provides the well-lit and spacious atmosphere to make sure that every job is handled appropriately. Two additional new lifts complement the existing two lifts in the original warehouse, which also houses our Dyno Dynamics dyno. A clean engine room serves as the environment for assembling the highest horsepower VQ engines in the world, as well as any other specialty projects involving exact measurement. Finally, a sealed fabrication room is available for those unique jobs and to ensure that byproducts of welding and cutting do not find their way into the work area.
With that said, our entire facility consists of:
- Over 10,000 square feet of office space, inventory warehousing, and shop working space
- Four hydraulic lifts to accommodate for the lowest of vehicles
- Dyno Dynamics two wheel drive dyno and engine tuning
- Welding and fabrication tools and abilities
- Precision engine assembly tools and abilities
- Hunter mounting and balancing equipment
- Almost any other tool you can possibly imagine
- Racing fuel inventory and nitrous re-filling
- Convenient location in downtown Lexington, KY
Current labor rates for 2010 are as follows:
- Standard labor rate: $90 per hour
- Dyno tuning rate: $170 per hour

Hal’s New 6-Speed 350Z Record!
After an unusually snowy winter in the area, we were fortunate enough to enjoy a beautiful afternoon of racing at a local drag event this past Sunday. The Kentucky Horsepower Shootout, held annually at the Mountain Park Dragway in Clay City, KY, would be the perfect test for Hal’s street car to stretch its’ legs after a relatively boring winter for the car. Other than a wash, oil change, a new set of wheels, and a fresh fill of VP race fuel, the car remains completely unchanged from Hal’s venture into the 9-second range on his first trip to the strip with this car.
In the video below, you can witness the first full pass of the car in the competition round. Despite losing via a red-light start, a first for Hal, he went on to make a blazing fast pass at 9.34 while trapping 145 mph. This is over a half-second quicker than the car’s previous best. With this time, Hal and the entire Injected Performance crew have added “fastest 6-speed 350Z” to our resume, fitting nicely with our existing claim of the fastest automatic (Powerglide) 350Z as well. In preparation for the upcoming race season, we have decided to take our race gas inventory to the next level. Effective immediately, Injected Performance is the newest dealer for VP Racing Fuels. With over 200 gallons of the most popular fuels already on hand, we plan to continue to stock the popular sellers throughout the racing season.

- C16: Most popular leaded race gas on the market for forced induction applications
- Q16: Oxygenated leaded race gas for any naturally aspirated or forced induction use
- MS109: A popular unleaded option for street cars upgrading from premium 93
- VP Import: The ultimate in oxygenated leaded race gas for high power forced induction use

Greddy Releases 370Z 20G TT Kit!
After months of patient anticipation, Greddy has finally released the 20G Tuner Twin Turbo Kit for the Nissan 370Z! This particular kit utilizes the same pair of TD06SH-20G turbos that have been a great success in the various 350Z engines and the Nissan GTR. At just 6.5 psi, this kit will produce over 400 whp on our Dyno Dynamics. Greddy’s true-dual Ti-C exhaust for the 370Z will help the kit flow even better.
The Greddy kit contains proven components for 400 whp and beyond. These twin 20G turbos, combined with heavy duty cast manifolds, external wastegates, and an extra large front mount intercooler have the capacity to support over 800 whp. This power level requires upgraded engine internals, similar to our various staged packages for the VQ35.
As a full service installation facility, we are able to not only offer these turbo kits for sale, but provide all of the necessary installation labor and dyno tuning as well.
