Import Face Off in Columbus Full of Rain
The Injected Performance 350Z and 4G63-powered Conquest of Bill Walls made the trek up north to Columbus, OH for the Import Face Off at National Trial Raceway. We showed up bright and early Sunday morning and proceeded to wait in line to get into the event. Once we arrived at tech inspections, we waited in line, and then waited in line some more in grid. Due to the rules of the event, we were limited to running in the Outlaw class with cars half of our weight. However, Hal managed a very respectable 8.89 @ 160mph on his first pass. That time held up as the quickest qualifying time for the event. Unfortunately, the event was cut short due to heavy rain, but we still had a pretty good time. The delay gave us a chance to sample some of the finest crock pot BBQ sandwiches in all of Ohio while we waited for the storm to pass. 502 Underground - Ohio Valley Raceway
We took the 350Z over to Louisville this past Friday for the 502 Underground 1/8th mile shootout. The rules for the event were pretty simple: no time slips, race off of a flagger, single elimination, heads up, winner take all. Unfortunately ,we didn’t take away the prize money, but this event was a lot of fun and a great chance for the Injected Performance crew to get some much needed experience running the 350Z in the 1/8th mile. We tried some different setups on the car in an attempt to get some better 60 foot times out of her with some very promising success. We look forward to taking the 350Z up to Columbus, Ohio on August 24, for Import Face Off. We are hopeful to see some personal bests out of the 350Z that day. Hope to see you all there.
